I took this picture along the Katy Trail which is the old route of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas rail line (MKT or Katy for short). It's been more than two decades since the MKT trains ran along the route, but you can still experience the history. This is a picture of an explosive bunker along the trail. Further down the trail where we we took our ride in Rocheport, MO is an old depot, the tunnel, and an old train signal. Most of the trailheads have extensive historical information posted. The trail is over 230 miles of wonderful biking trails. Perfect activity for a nice fall day.
